The forecast was promising a southerly breeze in the evening so i jumped int he car and headed up to see where might be flyable.

Picked Chris up at Samye LingĀ  then the plan was to take a look at Singlie / Blackknowe head / Witchieknowe.

A quick call to Tommy's house and Fiona suggested we stop by on our way to see what was happening.

Got there to find Dave Lyal and Stuart Haughie had just had a fly down from Jubilee Cairn. and Tommy was willing to give us a lift up on the quad. It was hard to say no... so up we went.

Up at the top the wind was a bit south. but light so we set up and Tommy headed down on the quad.

The wind then went more sw 9and light. then possibly even wsw. We probably should have gone up craighill but we were up on top and oly really expecting a fly down.

The west end of jubilee cairn 9the into wind bit0 is kind of shallow. mostly. so light wind take offs on a shallow slope were wuite interesting. Quriss wandered off to find a steep9er bit) and got off eventually.

I waited for a stronger gust. launched. ran. ran. ran. then took a left and with the wing loaded and sort of flying... ran and hopped down the southerly face until it got steeper.

We both landed down the bottom OK. slight westerly breeze in the valley. Maybe Singlie or Craig hill would have been a better bet but we flew. and landed safe.

Cheers to Tommy for the lift up to take off.
