A Small Adventure 7/1/18
And so it begins. Meeting up at the AA box beside St Marys loch at the Megget junction for 9.45am.
The night before had me weighing kit. I wanted no extra weight as its a fair walk up onto the tops.

Mountbenger delivered the goods again! It was a disappointing start, with just a breath of wind and nowhere near the soarable speeds forecast. So the wingbeat crew (Sean, Tommy, Rob, Dudley, Derek, Fred, DaveH and the loverly Linda) did what they do best - parawaiting along with a bit of para-showing based on the fact that most folk had brought along recent purchases (gloves, jackets, instruments, lightweight harnesses, crispy wings....).
Sunday. Flyable. Maybe?
Sunday. Flyable. But gusty?
Sunday. Too strong.
Qobby, Dorita, Annette and I escaped to Montenegro for a flying week at the end of the summer season.
Montenegro is relatively small country (pop 600k) trying to join the EU and competing with nearby Croatia for the tourist dollar and coming second. The coast to the north is reasonably well developed but the rest of the country still asleep.
Strange strange day. Ended up making an early afternoon dash to Witchie when skies suddenly brightened and wind backed towards south. Only short-lived and back to westerlies with big cloud build up threatening rain as I passed Benger. Arrived at Witchie just after Gerald & Garry, and breeze was back to nice and straight onto the south face. Hmmm.
